Oversaw a staff of editors, designers, photographers, sales consultants and reporters. Held bi weekly planning meetings. The 50th Anniversary Magazine was a 48-page special publication produced once by The Shield in honor of the university's 50th year celebration.

A semester-long internship originally meant to conclude in December but was extended until May 2015 and resumed after seven months of freelancing on Jan. 2016. Reported on breaking news and features.

Each year 10 Indiana journalism students are chosen by HSPA to work full time at an Indiana newspaper for 10 weeks. Reported for news, features, sports, also laid copy and handled photography/video assignments. The internship also included an assignment that commenced with a one-day iPhone video workshop where interns worked in groups to complete a video news story in Indianapolis.

One-year screenwriting course. The first semester entailed learning the ins and outs of crafting scripts for the silver screen. In the second semester, students developed a feature-length screenplay.
